DID YOU KNOW:
The safest type of reusable water bottle to drink from is a high-quality stainless steel water bottle. ... Stainless steel is a non-toxic material that doesn't need a liner. It's a metal that doesn't leach chemicals, even if the bottle becomes damaged or if you fill the bottle with boiling liquids like tea and coffee. With stainless steel, which isn't see through and therefore harder for temperature rays to penetrate, it takes a lot longer for drinks to heat up or cool down. In addition to this, many stainless steel water bottles are insulated with the sole purpose of keeping drinks cold for up to 24 hours.
HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR STAINLESS STEAL BOTTLE:
We recommend handwashing all colored and all vacuum insulated bottles, vacuum insulated tumblers and vacuum-insulated canisters. For thorough cleaning, you can use warm, soapy water and a bottle brush.
We also recommend an old-fashioned cleaner: mixing water and baking soda making a nice thick paste.
To clean your stainless steel water bottle with baking soda, you'll want to start by making a paste with just two ingredients: water and baking soda. Use a bottle brush to spread the paste inside your bottle, then let it sit for about 15 minutes. Rinse with hot water and let the bottle air dry.
